Position Status: Full Time (40 hrs week) 

Job Summary:

Sell new Technology Solutions with focus in the Mining Industry.  Successfully achieve results as measured by the actual sales volume compared to the sales potential of the assigned territory.  Sell Mining related Jobsite Technologies on a profitable basis as measured by gross profit on each sale, and cumulative gross profit at fiscal year end.  Accept sales responsibilities and pursue the standards of performance to the satisfaction of management.

Essential Functions:

  1. Knows the features and applications of all Trimble products and services.
  2. Knows the customers and their operations. Services the customer's needs. 
  3. Prepares sales quotes, sales orders, and invoices. Maintains current customer call list.  Completes and submits reports.
  4. Knows the competitor's product portfolio and how it compares with SITECH SW’s. Looks for and obtains new prospects.
  5. Requests, plans, and executes demonstrations.
  6. Generates profitable sales of SITECH SW delivered solutions.
  7. Delivers on business plan sales of prime products, rental, software, and training services. 
  8. Maintains a technical understanding of construction industries and the customer value drivers.
  9. Educates customers on the benefit of using SITECH SW supplied products to increase productivity/streamline processes,
  10. Executes the company’s a marketing plan to ensure success of the sales plan. Completes Annual Forecast.
  11. Budgets and manages expenses relative to value of sales to achieve maximum levels of profitability.
  12. Work safely at all times.  Adhere to all applicable safety policies.  Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains vehicle, office and other materials.
  2. Knows the history of SITECH SW and Trimble & Empire and Caterpillar.
  3. Pursues a self-evaluation and a self-development strategy to address deficiencies and increase skills and knowledge. 
  4. Learns and uses SITECH SW, Trimble, Empire, and Caterpillar product procedures and systems.
  5. Communicates with proper individuals to clarify instructions or discuss scope or progress of job.
  6. Works within and promotes corporate values.
  7. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  1. In-depth knowledge of the Trimble product line, SITECH's customers and their operations.
  2. Technical aptitude sufficient to relate to technology applications and failures.
  3. Knowledge and skills to operate and understand contact management tools.
  4. Knowledge and skills to operate web based ERP and information platforms.
  5. Appropriate manner, conduct, and grooming adhere to company policy.
  6. Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively.
  7. Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to work cooperatively with people and consummate sales transactions.
  8. Must have proven sales skills, be familiar with equipment financing and taxes, strong negotiation skills are required.
  9. Must have working knowledge of construction technology and equipment and the applications they are used in.
  10. Must be able to comprehend technology equipment specifications, price lists, catalogs, and common industry reference material.
  11. Must have effective, pleasant verbal communications skills.
  12. Must be able to write legibly and perform common calculations quickly and accurately.
  13. Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies and use of all required safety equipment.
  14. Ability to maintain consistent attendance.

Education and Experience:

  1. Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), college graduate preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5 years industry experience.
  3. Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
