Job Summary:

Support the eBusiness Administrator in the daily client support for all eBusiness programs including Part Store, Smart Sourcing, SIS and CAT Electronic Technician subscriptions, Feature Protection System, IS Store, Ariba networking, and Cyber Source.  Role is responsible for providing back-up support to the eBusiness Administrator when he/she is away from the office conducting training or attending required meetings.   

Essential Functions:

  1. Provide day-to-day support functions for the Part Store including new incoming instant access clients’ and employees’ registration.
  2. Provide support to the parts and product support staff and ensure assistance for new clients’ Part Store registration.
  3. Work with accounting and sales departments to assist in issues that arise in the Ariba program.
  4. Maintain a complete and up-to-date list of subscribers for CAT Electronic Technician and SIS.
  5. Install, license, and troubleshoot CAT software for clients and employees.
  6. Track client monthly Part Store sales activities.
  7. Maintain a thorough understanding of Part Store program parameters and guidelines for administration.
  8. Troubleshoot client and employee Part Store issues.
  9. Work safely at all times.  Adhere to all applicable safety policies.  Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards. 

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Travel as required to train personnel and clients on Part Store.
  2. Maintain database of employees using CAT ET and SIS DVD, troubleshoot software and ensures updates are distributed
  3. Complete IS store requests.
  4. Assist with Feature Protection System (FPS) as needed.
  5. Code CAT invoices for A/R department.
  6. Develop,maintain and upload frequent order lists for clients into Part Store.
  7. Maintain client equipment data for Empire and other dealers as requested.
  8. Provide all quotes and invoicing for CAT software, Com Adapters and Cables as requested by client or PSSRs.
  9. Ensure credit applications are provided to potential new clients.
  10. Work within and promote corporate values.

  1. Must have interpersonal skills to effectively work with and influence people. Able to communicate clearly and professionally.
  2. Must have organizational skills to work independently, complete assignments on schedule and maintain record keeping systems.
  3. Must have sufficient analytical skills to confidently provide recommendations based on report analysis.
  4. Must have ability to conduct research using available resources.
  5. Understand the process and procedures of Part Store DMT and DBS and how they work together.
  6. Understand Part Store administration and reporting functions available.
  7. Understand the dealer software licensing tool.
  8. Understand the IS store functions.
  9. Ability to travel to client sites.
  10. Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies and use of all required safety equipment.
  11. Must have acceptable attendance to meet all company standards and requirements.

Education and Experience:

  1. Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  2. Associates degree in general studies or 2 years of college or equivalent years of experience preferred.
  3. Previous office or clerical systems experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, & Power Point, computer systems and internet explorer.
  4. Proof of current valid CDL if required by position.
  5. Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
