Position Status: Full Time (40 hrs week) 

Job Summary:

Purchase parts and components on behalf of Empire Southwest.  Negotiate prompt delivery of parts and components.  Provide technical assistance as requested.  Assist in the management of system inventory parameters to exceed Dealer Excellence expectations.  Assist with month end closing processes and parts accounting.  Oversee parts returns. 

Essential Functions:

  1. Purchase parts and components for Company inventory and individual customer orders.
  2. Negotiate product delivery.
  3. Consistently reviews backorders to assure parts order status is upgraded as necessary.
  4. Maintain database and required lists.
  5. Provide recommended parts list and quotes.
  6. Assist in making recommendations on parts stock.
  7. Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Review and analyze reports.  
  2. Provide reports as required.
  3. Assist in parts returns. 
  4. Respond to all inquiries about stock levels, recommended stock, and special programs.
  5. Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
  6. Works within and promotes corporate values.

Additional Level Requirements

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  1. Knowledge of product lines including model designations and equipment applications.
  2. Must have interpersonal skills to effectively work with people.
  3. Must have organizational skills to work independently, complete assignments on schedule and maintain record keeping systems.
  4. Must have sufficient analytical skills to confidently provide recommendations based on report analysis.
  5. Must have ability to conduct research using available resources.
  6. Ability to maintain consistent attendance.

Education and Experience:

  1. Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  2. Prefer Associates degree in general studies or 2 years of college or equivalent years of experience.
  3. Prefer previous purchasing background.
  4. Prefer experience in Warehousing and Inventory Control.
  5. Prefer technical reference material experience.
  6. Prefer previous office or clerical systems experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, & Power Point.
  7. Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
