Pay Range: $85,000  -  $105,000 

 

 

 

Job Summary:

POSITION WILL BE LOCATED IN HENDERSON, NV

 

Develop and implement People Skills training initiatives for Empire's work force through needs assessment, curriculum design and evaluation on assigned topics.  Provide training consultation, support and facilitation related to people and leader development to enhance the learning curricula/transfer of learning that aligns with business needs and priorities.  Create and adapt curriculum for a variety of audiences and learning delivery methods.  Project management participation and/or leadership on corporate training strategies and initiatives.  Collaborate with key business partners and stakeholders to enhance employee and leader performance.  Provide training consultation to the business to help determine learning gaps and identify, develop and implement specific training solutions to narrow/close gaps.  Collect data and analyze the impact of short and long-term training specific initiatives. Integrate technical and safety elements in the people and leadership skills training environment to meet individual needs and corporate initiatives.

Essential Functions:

  1. Research new training methods, materials and resources that will enhance the learning experience and provide value.
  2. Develop and implement training methodologies that drive and support business initiatives, change management, culture design and culture transformation.
  3. Develop and facilitate team workshops that support the business needs i.e., team performance, teambuilding, planning, decision making and organizational development
  4. Evaluate existing courses on an on-going basis, ensuring continuous improvement and business relevance.
  5. Participate in Train the Trainer certifications to teach course content for various vendors such as Franklin Covey, DDI, Extended DISC as required. Incorporate Empire experiences and examples in the application of the course content.
  6. Demonstrate advanced teaching skills, learner management, Q&A, time management to deliver packaged and Empire developed content.  
  7. Work collaboratively with HRBPs on coaching and performance improvement initiatives for employees, leaders and teams enhancing overall business performance.
  8. Proficient in all aspects of the internal learning management system.
  9. Create and edit webinar/video production. Write articles for internal communications related to the business needs.
  10. Build relationships with the Empire workforce, Caterpillar and vendors to become a trusted partner in decision making and implementation.
  11. Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
  12. Create an environment of ownership and personal accountability where each person is responsible and accountable for their performance.
  13. Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards.

  1. Travel to outlying locations on an as-needed basis.

  1. Functional expertise and execution in assessment, evaluation, and training needs analysis.
  2. Expertise in organization systems.
  3. Knowledgeable in the Adult Learning Theory; conducts trend research for best practices.
  4. Strong negotiation skills and project management experience.
  5. Highly skilled at making clear and persuasive presentations. Builds credibility quickly with all levels of the organization.
  6. Ability to work in and manage ambiguity and deal with issues or problems.
  7. Ability to work independently, drive for results and stay focused to accomplish objectives with a sense of urgency.
  8. Ability to think strategically and proficiently apply it.
  9. Ability to be flexible, creative and grasp complex concepts and execute ideas.
  10. Excellent written and spoken communication skills for all audiences.
  11. Must have sufficient knowledge and understanding of business operations in a corporate environment to apply theory to practice in the business environment.
  12. Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies and use of all required safety equipment.
  13. Must have acceptable attendance to meet all company standards and requirements.

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, organizational development, business administration or related field preferred; or equivalent years of experience specializing in Human Resources, Training or Organizational Development.
  2. Minimum 10 years’ experience in a corporate learning function managing instructional design i.e., analysis, development, implementation and evaluation of learning and development programs; including experience in teaching people skills, leadership development and / or sales training courses.
  3. Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.
  4. Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
