Pay Range: $17.45  -  22.86 

 

 

 

Job Summary:

Repair, maintain and support technology equipment for the heavy earth moving and mining industry. Provide technical support to internal and external clients. Promote industry leadership and ensure maximum market share through highest level of professionalism and technical expertise.

Essential Functions:

  1. Repair and maintain technology hardware including lasers, total stations, UAVs, high precision GPS components.
  2. Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair and perform tests on digital and analog electronic components, electrical wiring and related mechanical systems.
  3. Perform repairs utilizing a variety of tools including tweezers, picks,  and solder equipment, drills.
  4. Maintain tools and equipment in optimal condition through preventative maintenance, regular cleaning and lubrication.
  5. Maintain complete, up-to-date maintenance/repair logs and performance data records.
  6. Maintain high productivity and quality standards.
  7. Maintain product knowledge and appropriate certifications in order to support client needs.
  8. Works safely at all times and makes safety the highest priority.  Complies with all company and customer policies, procedures and standards.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  1. Must have strong computer skills to include e-mail, Microsoft Office, networking, software installation, registry editing, hardware specification analysis, Internet, Hyper Terminal, and IP Protocols.
  2. Must have strong attention to detail
  3. Must have the ability to understand analog and digital sensors and their application and utilization to augment GPS data.
  4. Must have the ability to understand electrical circuit theory and be able to read electrical schematics, interpret blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
  5. Must have strong hand-eye coordination and ability to use variety of small tools including tweezers, picks,  and solder equipment to perform repairs.
  6. Ability to work efficiently in an independent manner.
  7. Interpersonal skills sufficient to communicate effectively and professionally with external and internal clients.
  8. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  9. Must have the ability to download and install product related software.
  10. Must have ability to use a multi-meter and test for voltage, current, and continuity.
  11. Must have ability to understand a basic level of Global Positioning Systems and its theory.
  12. Must have basic mechanical skills and knowledge.
  13. Must be able to work as a team player.
  14. Ability to maintain consistent attendance.

Education and Experience:

  1. Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  2. A plus to have  Associate’s degree in electrical or technical field or equivalent work experience.
  3. Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
