For current high school or technical college students, our internship programs are an excellent opportunity to gain real-world experience and learn what daily life is like for our heavy equipment technicians.

We also offer the ThinkBIG apprenticeship program, in partnership with Mesa Community College. This two-year college program is an ideal way to jumpstart your career if you’re just coming out of the military or have recently graduated. The program combines classroom and practical learning to give you an in-depth understanding of the technology behind today’s engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems and other components. After completing the program, you’ll receive an Associate in Applied Science degree and will be a fully credentialed Caterpillar^® Dealer Service Technician.

Becoming a Caterpillar Dealer Service Technician is a great opportunity to get where you want to be. If you have what it takes, you'll have opportunities to advance into new jobs, including more advanced technician positions, management or sales positions. Your skills will always be in demand industry-wide thanks to the continuous on-the-job training we provide, Caterpillar's technology advantage, and the Cat dealer reputation for service excellence.

Seven of Empire’s Supervisors have received the Patriot Award, given by the ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve). The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support Citizen Warriors through a wide-range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families and granting leaves of absence if needed. Service member employees nominated these supervisors for the award.
